Commissioner Stephen Skinner joined the Housing Authority in 2016.  The Springfield, MO native has participated in community service since his early days as a Boy Scout.  He is a graduate of both Missouri State University and University of Missouri, and after a 30 year career as a math teacher and school administrator, retired in 1997.  This career was interrupted for 3 years of military service, including a year in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division.  Mr. Skinner has also been a Missionary Baptist minister for more than 50 years, serving as pastor for churches in Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky, as well as assisting churches in Mexico, Guatemala, Jamaica, Trinidad, Ghana, and Kenya.
