The purpose of JARC funding is "developing new or expanded transportation services that connect welfare recipients and other low income persons to job and other employment related services such as shuttles, vanpools, new bus routes, connector services to mass transit and guaranteed a ride home"

Housing Authority has requested proposal from Adaptive Enterprises,Inc to provide the following services under the JARC Earmark grant. In- town transportation serving Campbell Lane and Scottsville Road, 31w Bypass, restaurants along Scottsville Road, and all the way to the Industrial Park near the post office to meet shift time.  These service will be provided 24 hours per day 7 days a week.  Transportation will be free of charge to welfare recipients and other low income individuals for as long as they need it.  If individuals need transportation to and from work who are not referred by one of the partner agencies, then they must be certified as low income by the Housing Authority Coordinator.
